The mIRC cabinets are named mirc57s.exe (16bit, 916800) and mirc57t.exe (32 bit, 1007616).
The mirc57s.exe file contains the sixteen bit issue, the mirc57t.exe file
contains the thirty-two bit issue. These cabinets are self-extracting executables.
When you run them, the built-in mIRC installer will be activated and help you to install or
upgrade mIRC.
mIRC can be downloaded freely and evaluated for 30 days. If you find that you enjoy using mIRC,
please try to register your copy. Your registration licenses
you to use your copy of mIRC and helps to support continued work on mIRC.
To get a fast and reliable download choose a location within the continent or region
closest to you for your download. It doesnt matter what location you pick, all files
are the same. Btw; all Internet Providers are encouraged to put a copy of mIRC on their
local FTP site! Maybe you can even provide us with a good FTP server?
mIRC 5.7 - 32 bit, for Windows 95, 98, 2000 and Windows NT.
mIRC 5.7 - 16 bit, for old Windows versions like Windows 3.1 and 3.11
Also Download the mIRC FAQ!
The mIRC FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions and Answers) helps you to solve virtually all setup
and install problems you could encounter with mIRC. You can read the FAQ
'on the Web' but having it for off-line reference is really handy.
On top of answering questions the FAQ will provide you with a lot of additional information
on mIRC's powerfull features. It includes a tutorial on Aliases, Popups and on
'programming' the Tools/Remote section. We suggest you also download the FAQ, it is only 97Kb.
mIRC FAQ version 42 in Windows HELP FILE format
You can also get mIRC, the FAQ and other info, on IRC.
If you cant find the mIRC install files, or the mirc FAQ file, or if you cant manage
to download mIRC or the FAQ through your web-browser and also using a normal FTP program fails,
you are not totally lost if you already have a fairly decent IRC client (like an older mIRC
version)! You can always join IRC, go to #mirc and ask the people there to send it to you by
DCC. Keep in mind though that WWW and FTP can be a lot quicker.
